Trip Information

East Java, Indonesia

Between Volcano Hikes, incredible Waterfalls, and one of the warmest cultures you'll ever experience; East Java is one of the most visually stunning and adventorous places to visit in South East Asia. We hosted our first group trip here, and of course, it was so incredible we had to make a second round.

Itinerary

In the spirit of backpacking, we love to maintain a range of flexibility on our trips to allow the group to shape its own unique experience, but some of the main events of our Java Adventure are below:

Yogyakarta
- the bustling cultural capital in Indonesia - fantastic for cultural tourism and nearby adventures
Tumpak Sewu & Surrounding Waterfalls
- Perhaps the most stunning waterfall in all of Asia. this entire area is full of exotic hikes, small town culture, and incredible waterfalls
Mount Bromo Volcano
- This might be the most incredible sunrise you've ever seen. The entire Bromo plateau is filled with incredible views, otherworldly landscapes, and for those daring enough - adrenaline fuelled motorbike adventures
Mount Ijen Volcano
- Just to double down on adventure we'll also visit Mount Ijen Volcano which gives incredible views and a unique insight into one of the world's most dangerous careers: Sulfur Mining

If you've followed my social media then you've probably heard me go on about this country. Vietnam is my absolute favourite place in this world, and it doesn't disappoint. On this trip we'll be exploring the best of the best the country has to offer, from the adventourus mountain passes in the north, to the incredibly fun islands in Ha Long Bay.

In the spirit of backpacking, we love to maintain a range of flexibility on our trips to allow the group to shape its own unique experience, but some of the main events of our Vietnam Adventure are below:

The Far North
- To be quite honest, theres too many incredible sights to even name when it comes to North Vietnam. This will be a mix of waterfalls, mountain views, local villages and some seriously unexplored places that I've been lucky to find in my travels. So of course, I can't reveal all these gems online!
Ha Long Bay
- Adventure and then relaxation, the perfect combination. After some serious exploration, long days, and off-the-beaten path sights in the far north, we'll head to Ha Long Bay for a 2 night boat cruise exploring this paradise, relaxing, swimming, and of course having a couple of beers to reminisce on the adventure.
